Admin Settings → Videos connects the engines behind Video Generation and controls who may use them.
Add a video connection
1
Add Connection
Open Admin Settings → Videos → Add Connection.
2
Name it and choose the engine
Give the connection a name and select the engine/provider type your deployment supports (an external hosted provider or a local engine), then supply the Base URL and credential where required.
3
Verify
Use Verify — a successful check reports how many models the connection exposes.
4
Enable
Set the connection Enabled, and optionally restrict it to specific Model IDs rather than "All remote models".
Defaults
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
| Default Model | Model used when the user doesn't choose. |
| Allowed Models | The models users may select. |
| Set Video Size | Default resolution (for example 1280x720). |
| Built-in Models | Platform-provided models where licensed. |
Capacity and governance
- Video jobs are heavy — they occupy GPU memory for longer than images or chat. Stagger large jobs; monitor GPU Monitoring.
- External calls leave your environment — mark external connections in your data policy; restrict them to permitted groups via Permissions.
- Track spend per group with Model Pricing + Usage.
Troubleshooting
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "No video connections configured." | Add one — users can't generate until you do. |
| "Please enter connection name and URL." | Complete required fields. |
| "Video settings endpoints unavailable." | The configuration service is unreachable; retry after checking cluster health. |
