My Settings → Chats holds the bulk tools for your conversation history: move it, archive it, or remove it.
Data transfer
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Export Chats | Downloads all your conversations as a single portable file. Take one before role changes, extended leave, or as a periodic personal backup. |
| Import Chats | Loads conversations from a previously exported file (or a compatible export from another tool your organisation permits). Existing chats are kept; imported ones are added. |
| Refresh | Reloads chat lists and metadata — run it after an import or any large change. |
Bulk organisation
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Archived Chats | Opens the archive of conversations you've archived individually. Restore any from there. |
| Archive All Chats | Moves every conversation out of your active list at once. Nothing is lost — this is "hide everything", ideal after finishing a big project. |
| Delete All Chats | Permanently removes every stored conversation. |
Delete is permanent:
Deleted chats cannot be recovered. Export first if there is any chance you'll need the history. Deletions may also be constrained by your organisation's retention policy.
Suggested routines
- Quarterly: export your chats; file the download where you keep work records.
- Project close: Archive All, then un-archive the few conversations worth keeping active.
- Role change: export, archive all, and hand over any shared links you published. See Managing Conversations for per-chat sharing and archiving.
