The Work Station (module rail → Templates) is where reusable AI is assembled and shared. Everything a chat might need — ready-made assistants, knowledge collections, saved prompts, skills and tools — lives here as five library sections.
The five sections
| Section | What lives there | Start here if… |
|---|---|---|
| Templates | Ready-made assistants for specific jobs (instructions + model + knowledge + capabilities). | You want an assistant for a recurring task. |
| Vector Database | Your knowledge bases — collections of documents that ground AI answers. See Knowledge Bases & RAG. | You want answers grounded in your documents. |
| Prompt | Saved prompts invoked with / commands in chat. See Prompt Library. | You keep re-typing the same request. |
| Skills | Reusable capability packs for agents and workflows. See Skills. | You're composing workflows or agents. |
| Tools | Tool selections for workflows and agents. See Tools. | An assistant needs to act on external systems. |
Templates vs prompts vs workflows
A common onboarding question — which one is right for you?
| Need | Use |
|---|---|
| A saved question/phrase you insert into any chat | Prompt (lightest) |
| A specialist assistant with its own rules, knowledge and capabilities | Template |
| A multi-step, automated process across models, files and systems | Workflow |
How teams use the Work Station
- Consumers browse templates and start chats — no configuration needed. See Using Templates.
- Creators build templates from a good prompt plus the right knowledge base. See Creating Templates.
- Knowledge owners maintain the vector database so every assistant cites current documents. See Knowledge Bases & RAG.
- Administrators decide what each group may see or publish. See Permissions.
