Image Generation

Create images from text in the Media Studio — prompts, negative prompts, attachments, model and settings, iterating and downloading.

Image generation (module rail → Image → Image) turns written descriptions into pictures — marketing visuals, concept art, diagrams, mockups, icons. Generated images are available for download and reuse across your work.

Generate an image

1

Describe it

Type into the prompt box — "Type to imagine". Describe subject, setting, mood, and style: "A clean isometric illustration of a secure data centre, blue-grey palette, enterprise style."

2

Say what to exclude (optional)

Use the exclusion field to keep unwanted elements out of the picture ("Things to exclude from the image…" — e.g. text, watermarks, people).

3

Attach a reference (optional)

Use Attach to include an image the generator should start from — for restyling, editing, or extending an existing picture. Remove an attachment anytime.

4

Choose model and settings

Where multiple image models are available, pick one from the model selector. Open the image settings to tune generation parameters — see the reference below.

5

Generate and review

Run the job, then browse the results with the previous/next controls. Open the image preview for a full view and image actions (download, edit prompt, create more).

6

Download or refine

Download what you need, or select Edit prompt to adjust the description and regenerate. Iterating is normal — small wording changes change the picture.

Common settings

Exact options depend on the model your administrator has enabled; typical controls include:

SettingEffect
ModelDifferent generators have different strengths (photoreal, illustration, speed).
Size / aspect ratioSquare, landscape, portrait — match the target use (banner, post, slide).
Number of imagesGenerate several variations per run to choose from.
Steps / qualityMore steps = finer detail, slower generation.
GuidanceHow strictly the model follows your prompt.
SeedFix it to reproduce a result you like; vary it for fresh variations.

Writing good image prompts

DoExample
Subject first"A stainless-steel GPU server…"
Add setting/context"…in a modern data centre with blue accent lighting"
State style/medium"…photorealistic, wide-angle, corporate brochure style"
State lighting/mood"…dawn light, calm atmosphere"
Use exclusionsexclude: text, logos, blur

Using generated images responsibly

  • Generated images may contain artefacts or unrealistic details — review before publishing.
  • Treat external content carefully; generated media belongs to your workspace under your organisation's policy. See Guardrails for what your administrator has configured.

Where else you get images

  • In chat — enable the Image Generation capability and ask the assistant to create an image inline. See Chat Basics.
  • In templates — templates with the Image Generation capability act as image assistants. See Image Generator example.
